FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

What Student Planner does, what it deliberately doesn't, and how your data is handled.

The product

What is Student Planner?
A personal academic workspace. You add your subjects, the assignments and exams attached to them, and the study sessions you plan — and it tells you what deserves your attention today and whether you're making progress.
Who is it for?
Students managing several subjects at once: secondary school, university, language courses, or anyone studying towards dated commitments. It assumes you have deadlines, not that you belong to a particular institution.
Is it a replacement for my calendar?
No. It doesn't try to hold your whole life. The planner covers academic commitments — what's due, what's being examined, and when you intend to study — and stays out of the way of everything else.

How the plan works

How does it decide when I should study?
From two things you already know: how long each piece of work will take, and how much time you have on a normal day. It walks the days ahead and gives the most urgent work a block until that day's time is spent, spreading a large piece across several days rather than leaving it for the night before. Nothing is guessed and nothing is sent anywhere — the same records always produce the same plan.
What happens when my week doesn't go to plan?
You say so and it re-lays the rest. "I can't study today", "I only have half an hour", "the Biology exam matters most" — each one moves the remaining work across the days you still have. Anything that genuinely will not fit before its deadline is named, rather than quietly dropped.
How is progress calculated?
From records you already keep. Assignment progress comes from status changes and the steps you tick off. Exam readiness blends what you report with the revision you've actually completed. Even the length of your study blocks is learned from how long your sessions really run. Nothing needs separate tracking.

Getting started

Do I need to fill everything in to get value?
No. One subject and one assignment is enough for Today to be useful. Onboarding takes a couple of minutes and everything after your semester is skippable.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Today, Schedule, Focus and every create/edit flow are designed for small screens, not scaled down from desktop. You can also install it to your home screen from your browser's share menu, which opens it without a URL bar.
How much does it cost?
Student Planner is free to start. If paid plans arrive later, the core planning features described on this site stay available.

Your data

Can other people see my work?
No. Every account's data is isolated at the database level, and there are no shared workspaces, feeds or profiles. The public pages of this site never read account data.
